Eric has a Masters degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Since then, he has done internal auditing and actuarial work, as well as taught virtually the entire alphabet soup of standardized tests. He has a “negative space” philosophy when it comes to teaching, as he subscribes to the counterintuitive notion that it’s often best to approach multiple-choice questions by focusing on flaws rather than attributes. However, he does not advocate such an approach with respect to one’s significant other.
He was born and raised in Allegheny County, and has recently returned to the Pittsburgh area for family reasons. He’s enjoying his current super status as a Meridian Super Tutor.
Having scored 99% in all of the exams, Eric tutors the following subjects:
- SAT
- ACT
- GMAT
- LSAT
- MCAT Verbal
- SSAT
- ISEE
- SAT II
- Writing
- Calculus
- Algebra
- Geometry
Eric used to be extensively involved with theater, and enjoys basketball and ping pong, but these avocations are currently on hiatus, as most of his current energies are consumed by his one-year-old son.
